These studios share Folly Bridge House’s funky wet room. Recently redesigned, like the cabin of a ship with a quirky stained glass window, you can stand under the rain shower and spy on the boats steaming down the river.
The studios have their own kitchen, dining, and double bedroom area. Being across the landing from each other, with the wet room in between, they work well for a group of friends or colleagues or a family looking for something a bit different.
Situated on the first floor, Salvia and Melissa have tall ceilings and big windows. In Studio Melissa, you look south over the River Thames to the pool beyond where canoeists disappear mysteriously into a tunnel in Folly Bridge, emerging far downstream, out of sight. In Studio Salvia, you look down into the very heart of historic Oxford: the old toll house, the many-arched magnificence of Folly Bridge, the crumbling stonework of its piers. At night, they are all lit up and reflected in the water.
The studios have all the elegant necessities of city living: superfast fibre optic broadband, flatscreen TV/DVDs. Chairs and tables by the river allow guests to watch the passing river life.
